Yes, I have read about NDE's and OOBE's...but I don't see how that proves a soul is real.
I once had a psychic do a past life reading for me....he took me back to two previous lifetimes. Again...that does not prove souls exist.

Nothing does, but alot of thing's including hypnosis and abduction shows this side to us.....It all depends on if you care to believe or not. It seem's some look at this subject and believe some parts but dismiss other parts of it. The phenomena is a package and it comes as a package. We shouldn't be choosing what parts we want to accept.
Many who study Ufology start with lights in the sky. They then realise that some lights cant be explained and they ARE intelligently controled. They then branch into other aspects of the phenomena like abduction /contact. Some of the answers are so hard to grasp and challenge our perseption of reality they turn their backs and go back to reporting on lights in the sky. The question is 2+2 the answer is 4, you accept that ?
The question is the entire story and findings of contact.....Can you accept the answers? you can't choose what parts you choose to accept......it is a package!

What is your definition of a soul?

Its an etheral part of you, Your physical self is the glove the soul is the hand. When the gloves worn out do you chop off the hand? or get a new glove?

Where is it?

According to my experiences and those of others its in the solar plexes just beneath the rib cage, the same place I have been marked with a V on one of my experiences, the same place that flutters in most experiencers when our friends on high are close.

What does it look like??

To you, you look the same as your physical self, when others are near you see them as white balls of light.

How do you know we have one??

Through experience and hearing others describe similar things to what I have experienced. I dont expect belief here, a person can only fully believe through experience.

Do animals have a soul??...if the answer is no...how come??

I dont know!

How could an alien capture a soul??

I dont know, it's as if they control it!

Where would they keep it???

Personally I have just been above and watching down, as well as floating up and waiting outside a craft until being let in. Before I was allowed in I saw white balls leaving, I got in and moved towards a man in a robe with a beard, he moved his arm from right to left and I remember nothing else. I've had flashes of a hexagonal container simillar to glass but I dont know if this was related to the soul or not.

Like I have said a million times this subject is deep and difficult to believe, especially for the experiencer. It's just strange so many experience the same if there is no truth in it.

I'm not religious. I don't believe in heaven and hell, but I do believe we have a soul.
The reason I believe this is because my mum, who passed away 8 years ago, left her body a few times when she was younger. She had a few heart attacks and I grew up with her recalling how she was looking down on everyone in the room, after one of her attacks. When she came around she told them everything they said, yet they maintained that her heart had stopped and she was gone.
When she did die, and I was with her when she died, I made sure I was looking up, sounds corny I know, but I wanted her to see my face as she was leaving her body, so I could say goodbye.
If you've ever experienced anyone dying infront of you, you will realise that at that point it is a very surreal experience, almost calming, and you just know that we are just a shell. If you have ever seen life just slip away from someone you will know what I mean.

My own personal belief is that we are here on a journey. I feel that when we die we move onto another level. Whether that be stepping into another dimension, or whether that be through reincarnation, I haven't made my mind up.I feel that we are linked somehow to other beings either on another planet, or in another dimension.

I've experienced similar to you Jane and it left me feeling very uneasy. I've also experienced what can only be called "sixth sense", call it heightened senses or time dilation but in several different occasions I've been very lucky to still be here. I've no idea about a "soul" and what happens but I'm open to the idea that something happens after death.

I've also had a near death experience through illnes. I think I may have mentioned it on here before. I still remember the strange feelings around that whole experience, and the knowing that if I went to one side I would be ok and come back, but if I went to the other I would be gone.
Also experienced the recurring dreams after the event for many years.

It's nice to hear both of your experiences relating to this. Now ask yourself this, if so many unexplained experiences relating to the soul are taking place why isn't it taken seriousely?
Many, many more instances and experiences that are so unexplainabley correct relate to this phenomena........WHY doesn't it get taken seriousely? It is treated the same way the UFO subject is treated, with contept and ridicule and ridiculouse explanations. The truth sits neatly in what is ridiculed, ridicule keeps us from searching any deeper.
Jane I can relate to what you said about your mother passing, you gave me shivers when you said how you looked upwards.
Lee our soul communicates on levels so deep we dont know it's happening. You think your safety was down to luck?
