That's certainly possible......or there could be many sentient races out there but how many would look as humanoid as us and also be able to get here?

Or, there was one that happened to look humanoid, happened to be able to get here, and the fact that we also looked humanoid piqued their interest.

I also have read Keel's books and enjoyed them (particularly the 8th Tower) though he seemed like a 'trickster' at times to me and probably embellished his tales.

Changeling, who has posted here recently, is a big fan of Keel and the Fortean paradigm.

What I was trying to get at, regarding aliens and the ETH, is the fact that all 'aliens' seen on earth have been some form of humanoid. Some so close to us they are indistinguishable from us. Is that very likely based on alien evolutionary ideas?
Where are all the 2 headed aliens, the 3 legged ones, those with more than 2 eyes, ones with bony ribbings on the bodies or heads, or tentacles from their evolutionary past..?
It bothers me that all these 'aliens' are so similar to us, and the arguments I have heard from the ETH crowd on this aspect are unconvncing.

Well, even if he embellished a bit, it made his writing much more entertaining than the standard fare.

As far as "ultraterrestrials," I look at it like this:

With the 1890's airships and a few "UFO" accounts the 18th and 18th century, these crafts has flapping wings, and the occupants came down out of ladders.

In the middle ages, the abductors who preformed sexual tests were Incubi and Succubi from the depths of hell, or some other unpleasant domain.

Kenneth Arnold saw a squadron of flying wings, yet a reporter called them saucers. Immediately, everyone is seeing (and photographing) disc shaped objects.

And countless other things that make the whole situation seem to be a case of, "we see what we expect to see," or something along those lines.

At other times, it also seems to be "tricksters" just fkking with us for no good reason. =)

Have you read Daimonic Reality by Harpur, Messengers of Deception by Vallee and the 8th Tower by Keel?
Then you tend to fall into the EDH camp..? Do you believe that any ufos and contact cases are actual et's..?

The photograph of Bush with an Alien in the window is unconvincing to me. There are too many explanations in my opinion.

As to aliens being humanoid in appearance, I'm not sure why. Perhaps it's evolutions way. Our design is tailored to our environment? Perhaps, any life that develops in our universe is going to share common traits all across the worlds found within it. Being that we are all made with the same stuff. Perhaps the aliens that visit us never went too far to begin with and share their initial origins with earth. Maybe they are just coming home.

It's all conjecture at this point until science can get their hands on an ET, I suppose. If we haven't already that is.
