1954 Humanoid Wave

What are we to make of these...? Does the ETH really explain this...or is this a matter of both et and ed..or something else entirely?
And this is just one year...the books and reports are full of unusual sightings like this going back decades and forward also.

You know, Doc, I may have to take a look and see if I can find out some additional details about a couple of these sightings. One says it occurred somewhere around Cincinnati. Another one of your links cites Branch Hill as the location of an event - I drive through this area every day to get to my daughter's house (it's not even a town anymore - I think all it ever was was a little crossroads on the Little Miami River).

These stories are compelling when taken in total but, individually, but I wonder how well some of them were vetted. On some cases, the details are so sketchy as to be nearly worthless. Still, may be worth a trip to the Cincinnati Enquirer morgue.

The humanoids probably didn't approve of this first nuclear test in '46 and also the largest at this same location in '54. So they started popping up everywhere!

Administered by the United States, this island was first used for nuclear testing during Operation Crossroads in 1946. On March 1, 1954, Bikini Atoll was also the site of the largest U.S. nuclear test ever exploded. The Bravo test had a yield of 15 megatons, 3 times the planned yield.

The idea of humanoids goes way back. I was reading a while back about the dogu figurines from ancient Japan. They looked like they were wearing Spacesuits.

There is a general opinion that humanoid sightings would merely be because of what we perceive an alien should look like. I don't subscribe to that chain of thought personally.

The interesting thing is that they, the beings, are often described very differently and no 'greys'. And in many cases the actions by these beings is very strange and often very short in duration to say the least.
How does this fit the ETH or are the space aliens deliberately trying to act bizarre? To what end or purpose? And many of these events parallel old paranormal and occult tales.

As I said before, to confuse us. As long as we're unsure what they are, there won't be any decisive action on our part. While their agenda proceeds without inteference..... But if you just can't buy that, fine, agree to disagree.

Databases, like the one Vallee provides at the end of Passport to Magonia are just that. They are listings of sightings and cases. To find out real information, you have to go to the reports of the UFO investigators. Unfortunately, some of the original UFO organizations are defunct and it's probably hard to track down the manila folders with typed pages with witness testimony, newspaper clippings. copies of police reports etc.

That's why the most common cases get rehashed year after year in new UFO books and why databases like these are useful, but not conclusive if someone's already skeptical (i.e. skeptical of UFO's in general or skeptical of UFO high strangeness because they prefer an almost Vulcan level of logic in their EBE's).

Aliens kept warning about our nuclear tests endangering the universe. That was part of the warning in SF as well, but it doesn't make sense in either case.

EBE's from another star system would not be endangered by our nuclear tests. We didn't even have delivery systems to get a nuke to the moon or Mars back then, assuming they had a base there. Harold T. Wilkins, in "UFO's on the Attack" speculated that extraterrestrials had a moon base and came here because of our atomic tests. That was the zeitgeist back then.

Thinking about it logically, the only aliens who would be endangered by our nuclear tests and our cold war would be natives like us, or extradimensional entities from a reality that was symbiotic, parasitic or simply just linked to ours. Physicists speculated about extra dimensions back then, but not really parallel universes. They had their math that pointed to more than three dimensions plus time, but they didn't have elegant mathematics pointing to string theory.

Crypto-terrestrials, whether below ground or deep in the ocean, para-physical entities of the air, whether demons or fairies, or even physical beings traveling in craft from an alternate world would be concerned about humanities' effect on the local environment, because its' their environment too.

Now, instead of warning us about nuclear war, telling us to stop atomic tests, they are warning us of earth changes and telling us to stop harming the environment. That means, they are linked to our cultural concerns, if nothing we do really effects them, or it means that they are in the same boat we are.

Perhaps Keel was right and we are moon food. Imagine how we'd feel if our cattle could go to war and annihilate each other or our chickens could change the conditions of the hen house and be in danger of dying out? I'm willing to consider that possibility and it actually fits my religious beliefs, because the lore all points to entities that are parasitic, deceptive, destructive of individuals they gain control of and who hate humanity because of what God has done for us.

That said, I think that only part of the UFO enigma is clearly demonic. I believe there's more than one cause and that all but the least likely ETH explanation involves some very enigmatic beings that, even when they are not being deceptive, are neither safe or understandable by our logic (which brings in Vallee's discussions of meta-logic).
