Have you ever thought that the 'ETH crowd', as you put it, follow the extra-terrestrial line of thinking because it's possibly the most likely explanation i.e. more likely than beings from other dimensions, demons, angels, time-travellers etc.?

We have no proof of any of those things, but we can look into the night sky and see thousands of stars with the naked eye and trillions using telescopes etc. Plus, it seems that planetary systems are the norm out there.

I wish I had a dime (make that a dollar due to inflation..) for every time we have talked about this here.
The ETH certainly is an easier path to follow based on what we know about the universe so far. The problem is we know little about the true nature of reality imo.
To repeat what I have said many many times: Many ufo cases and paranormal related events seem to fit a more bizarre paradigm than the ETH. What some have said is shouldn't we be looking in more than one narrow direction like the ETH crowd are doing?
And again for those who care to notice, I have said repeatedly, and I'm sure you can attest to this, that some ufo events could very well be et's but imo the ufo engima overall does not represent space aliens only.

Demonic is just another term.....like aliens. We might as well call them ultraterrestrials (Keels term) since we have no firm idea what they truly are. Demonic is meaningless unless one believes in a religious model of reality. Since I am agnostic it holds little importance for me.
But the best is to just say they are unknown entities.

I say demonic and everyone crosses their legs like I said a bad word.Well for lack of a better word and being that demonic has been around for eons why not demonic? Who was it Roadghost that said,we dont even know what devils are or angels for that matter.Sometime,sometimes it does look like a huge cosmic joke on makind. Other times Im completely convinced that it is ET and thats the best answer,but you can bet its questions such as these that keep those in command from coming forward with a definative answer,what a huge mistake it would be to announce to the world that ET has landed only to find out later that weve fallen for one of the biggest deceptions of all time.

The word is tied to religious belief....plain and simple. There is no way around that. Either one belives in theology, like you do, and places 'aliens' in the supernatural realm or they are just unknown beings from another place. The ETH crowd wants to jump the gun and call them et's because it's easy and quick......I prefer to say maybe and consider the possibilty they are a complely different lifeform that may not be from our own universe or even our idea of what reality is.

An even more weird idea is that they are provisional beings generated by human consciousness interacting with the quantum ground of being or that they are the first earthlings who evolved here long before us.
Ideas like this would go a long way to explain why they seem so 'familiar' to us in many ways and seem to have an inordinate interest in humans and our various aspects.

Then again....maybe they are just space aliens here on a joy ride.

It is statements like this that I find the most annoying. You keep insisting that the ETH crowd are not open to other possibilities. I do not think that is true...except perhaps in a SMALL number of hardcore believers.....but certainly NOT the majority of believers in the ETH.
Then whenever you refer to YOUR views....it is always stated that your views ARE just "possibilities"!!
I would rather take a stand FOR something....right or wrong....than to be so wishy washy!!....and then accuse everyone else of... taking the quick and easy path!!!
If the EDH ever produces some solid proof....I will gladly change my beliefs....that is not a big deal, imo.

What I find most interesting is how you stereotype what you have labeled the ETH crowd, as believing in the purely physical ET, while I happen to find that many here are willing to indulge in the alternate reality paradigms. That would include myself. Unfortunately, you are entirely self-absorbed in appearing as a wholly unique innovator, that you've been missing the point of being here. Conceptual exchange. No one is trying to sell anything, except the hard core skeptics or those who have committed interests. It's about having fun and intellectualizing something that cannot be understood in terms of specifics. It seems that you are taking the whole thing a bit too seriously in my opinion. You've chosen a particular paradigm which has become more than just a simple pass time for you. Why your favorite explanation is so personally critical to your beleif system is a riddle, but this much is obvious.
