THEN WE turned and went up the road to Bashan, and Og king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.

And the Lord said to me, Do not fear him, for I have given him and all his people and his land into your hand; and you shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.

So the Lord our God also gave into our hands Og king of Bashan and all his people, and we smote him until not one was left to him.

And we took all his cities at that time; there was not a city which we did not take from them, sixty cities, the whole region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

All these cities were fortified with high and haughty walls, gates, and bars, besides a great many unwalled villages.

And we utterly destroyed them, as we did to Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying every city--men, women, and children.

But all the cattle and the spoil of the cities we took for booty for ourselves.

So we took the land at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, from the Valley of the Arnon to Mount Hermon

All the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan as far as Salecah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of the [gigantic] Rephaim. Behold, his bedstead was of iron; is it not in Rabbah of the Ammonites? Nine cubits was its length and four cubits its breadth, using the cubit of a man [the forearm to the end of the middle finger].

I’ve no intention to bore YOU to death by endless wanderings through religion and bible stories. Let’s go for the heart, right now. If you find the time to look at text above, it is not a pretty picture. Moses is describing (approx. 13th century BCE) how his tribe, followers of mountain/desert God JAHWEH, finally has begun the great campaign against Canaanite cities. It’s a humongous list of battles, but here King Sihon and his kingdom Heshbon just was defeated, all Heshbon’s cities destroyed, killing all men, women and children. Only cattle was exempt, part of the spoils. Next the Hebrews turned to the kingdom of Bashan, giant King Og’s fief, and they defeated and killed him and his army in battle. The Bible (=Jewish Torah) emphasizes Og got the Sihon treatment, all his sixty high walled cities, plus many villages, were destroyed, as were the men, women, kids.

So who were King Og, and his Refaim forebears. According to Hebrew tradition Og definitely was a strapping lad, the size of his iron bed translates to a man at least 12 feet or 365 cm tall. Refaim are remembered as a bloodline descending from the Nephilim, legendary giants and ordinary looking mighty men living in arkbuilder Noah’s day, more than 11,000 years ago. Nephilim are a mixed breed, supposedly the offspring of human females and so called Sons of God (Angels, ETs, Aliens choose your pick!). Look closer, at these Refaim, impressive, distant descendants of Nephilim.





Refaim are remembered as a bloodline descending from the Nephilim, legendary giants and ordinary looking mighty men living in arkbuilder Noah’s day, more than 11,000 years ago.

Text is part of Hebrew King Solomon’s wise counsel, here warning that wasting time with foolish women leads straight to hell. (You might want to stop reading right now .) But in passing he inserts the Refaim name, and also a level of hell, ‘Sheol’ or the 6th level down. There are seven levels of Hell in Hebrew tradition.

1) Dumah, highest level, the silent place.
2) Gehinnom, simply hell.
3) Eretz ha Neshiyah, land of forgetfulness.
4) Eretz haTakhtit, the netherworld.
5) Tzalmavet, valley of the shadow of death.
6) Sheol, firy hell for judgement, punishment, and rising (to higher levels, return to Earth/Paradise)
7) Avadon, meaning forever lost, firy like Sheol but worse, a terrible prison from which no one returns.



Peculiarly, all those of Nephilim blood, like the Refaim tribe, at death are believed to become malevolent spirits, or demons. Sheol, the 6th level, is their resting place, as they gravitate into Hell. There’s a snag: Sheol is a very, very bad place, but ultimately not totally closed off. Its inhabitants are allowed to rise, and in the case of the Refaim, once in spirit form, even roam the Earth to harass (as demons) the human inhabitants of Earth.

The Lord slays and makes alive; He brings down to Sheol and raises up.


Since the Bible opens the possibility that one may go from Sheol, to live again, this even suggests that fallen, hell-cast Refaim and Nephilim may somehow return to earthly life, as walk-ins, possessing spirits, conjured gods of magic, or conceivably newborn infants among us. Speculatively, the Grey Alien bodyshape and technology may be another way they extend their existence and influence here.

No way I’m asking readers to adopt a religious Judeo-Christian worldview, let alone a version of Evangelicalism. I do suspect the Bible of being a contact story, full of weird memories of the non-humans we contacted. The Sons of God, fathering the Nephilim and Refaim were one such mysterious faction of non-humans. The Hebrew tribe meticulously recorded dealing with the YAHWEH faction, and obviously these two (or more?) alien groups waged bloody/genocidal wars on our planet, through intermediaries: human tribes they took in their confidence, gave tools to make war and conquer land, eradicate the opposition, and develop into great and influential civilizations.

I don't know about the Republicons that are running but Obama likes playing basketball.


There are certainly power brokers involved with politics..always have been, but secret societies as conspiracy people think of them?..... IMO doubtful ,but there are plenty of good old boy networks among the rich and powerful like the Bilderbergers.

I used to enjoy reading about all the weird conspiracy tales people believed in over the centuries , but these days I'm burned out on it. Most of them just seem far fetched or downright silly.

President Obama shoots hoop like he eats his Dijon Mustard, a little. If we were to take my Refaim idea seriously for a mere moment, it is real PROWESS we are looking for .

It is the craziest of craziest notions, but could we bring together today's global power brokers/networks with 13th century BCE Moses going to war against Canaan, King Og of Bashan (Refaim) just one adherent of this great culture?

And unto the sons of Israel thou dost say, Any man of the sons of Israel, and of the sojourners who is sojourning in Israel, who giveth of his seed to the Molech, is certainly put to death; the people of the land do stone him with stones;

and I -- I set My face against that man, and have cut him off from the midst of his people, for of his seed he hath given to the Molech, so as to defile My sanctuary, and to pollute My holy name.

And if the people of the land really hide their eyes from that man, in his giving of his seed to the Molech, so as not to put him to death,

then I have set My face against that man, and against his family, and have cut him off, and all who are going a-whoring after him, even going a-whoring after the Molech, from the midst of their people.


I'll summarize: Any Israelite, or inhabitant of Israel, who sacrifices his child to the Canaanite God Molech (by fire), as well as any one knowingly condoning this, must be put to death.




Comes down to God/YAHWEH giving permission to commit genocide (Molech was an important deity over there). And after initial doubts, the Hebrew tribes obeyed, taking Canaan city by city, kingdom by kingdom. The defending team, the Canaanite peoples, including several families of mighty men and giants, literally fought to the death in order to remain on their land, and worship their own Gods. The House of David (approx. 1000 BCE onwards) methodically killed off the very last giants.


I was surprised to learn that the Bilderberg-linked Bohemian Grove starts its discrete, carefully vetted gatherings, with the Cremation of Care ceremony, basically enacting the firy sacrifice of "Care", a human character just slain, before a 40 feet high statue of an owl, a Molech symbol, intended to clear minds, ensure success of the gathering, and SEND THE DEMON AWAY. Why is this modern day Old Boys Club (inviting presidents, pres candidates, billionairs and celebrities alike) seemingly re-enacting the reason for the Canaanite war between Refaim-like clans and the YAHWEH-allied Hebrews? Could Canaan/Molech culture have survived, and in secret still be maneuvering for dominance??
