What Will Happen In 2012?

It won't be the end of the world. We will pass through some sort of radiation belt according to some that will alter DNA, thus altering consciousness. Plausable theory, but we wont know for sure untill it happens.

We complete many cycles too on that date. We complete a galactic year (age), so this means we are entering a new age. Some say its the golden age. Also entering the age of Aquarius I think due to our wobbling axis. It will point towards that constellation or something like that.

It is also a theory that because the planets line up with the galactical equator it will cause a large enough gravitational pull on the planets that it could tilt ours slightly. Obviously this will cause some earthquakes, but nothing on the scale of the 2012 movie. Simply an increase in numbers of quakes. You can't deny it, earthquakes are getting more frequent these days.

Moving on to biblical prophecy, we all know that the book of revelations is not to be taken litterally. It is basically telling us what will happen symbolically (cant find the actual word I want to use). In Basic, the bible says there will be a new earth and new heaven. Heaven is a mistranslation and actually means "sky". Not some city in space.

So, it is my personal opinion that when it says there wil be a new earth, it will be because tectonic plates will have shifted and some landscape will change due to the gravitational pull. The New heaven I believe means that when the earth tilts, the constellations in the night sky will be somewhat different, though probably not majorly different.

I guess we will just have to wait and see for sure. But in basic, I don't believe it is the end of the world. As someone said in here, the calandar is a tool to map out time. It's just starting all over again.

Since there is no way to know for sure if anything will or will not happen on that particular date, I just voted for what I wish would happen.....I voted for alien disclosure.

I voted natural disaster simply because you can always count on at least one natural disaster occurring somewhere on Earth in any given year.

I think it is interesting that an event only becomes a natural disaster when human lives or property are threatened. Seems to me we would have a lot fewer natural disasters if people simply stopped living at odds with the Earth. For example, didn't it ever occur to anyone not to build New Orleans in an area that is essentially below sea-level? Why do Californians think it's such a great idea to build houses on side of a cliff?
