the fact that HAARP is funded by DARPA, Navy and USAF really raises the questions in this. Why military involvement?

I heard today that the next wave is cyberwar, essentially targeting the electrical infrastructure and financial markets. I think the US has already hit the Iranian nuclear industry once. The Chinese hacked the New York media infrastructure.

you are refering to the NY times magazine hacking right? The Cyberwar is the next generation terrorism and warfare, im absolutely sure about that as well.

NonSmokingman, I think an earthquake weapon, if realized, would amount to a weapon of mass destruction. Just admitting you had it would totally destabilize our world: countries may assume any big earthquake to be a WMD attack!

I'm not entirely sure yet how cyberattacks would directly harm a target nation. It is stealing defense info, or disrupting programming for vital services, from coordinated communications between fire deps to military units, to even operations of a nuclear reactor. I sometime wonder if cybertech might be used to directly kill people or destroy hardware.

Nase2013, I strongly suspect the US have weaponized the atmosphere, which would amount to a weather weapon, however the earthquake machine is a much repeated rumor. Who knows...
