Well, let us say that there are two points of view and both sides are

a little dogmatic . So we quarrel without rest on an issue

that most people prefer to ignore . I hate to be repetitious and drone on

the same ideas over and over but to understand our circumstances

we have to understand the nature of knowledge itself. Let me

be short and say that knowledge is tentitive, we can never say we

know everything and when we understand the uncertainty of every

statement we make we will know that the quarrel is about a stream

of words we understand and which we use to coerce each other

to agree with even when there are alternatives that can be used to

explain something . Usually something unknown to all, each with

his own opinion that it can be proved rigorously when it can not.

My sugestion is that we be pragmatic and objective and willing to admit

that none of us really knows what is happening precisely. We can only

guess ,at great lenght ,but ,still we are guessing since both sides

can make claims to the phenomena in question.

We must understand that as things are now there is no easy resolution

and we must wait patiently with two or more explaintions in our heads

till something new happens that will make or break one side or the other.

At the moment neither side can prove its point of view is exclusive to the

other and both sides have to admit that everything we say about UFOs

and ETs is theoretical and in need of more information in order to be

conclusive

Boy this is some great acting and these two actors are my favorites.

Getting real angry is hard to do in front of a camera .I wonder how long

it took to make this scene? So what are they quarreling about that has

any relevence to this discussion . Explain it to me .I don't understand .

That is all I drinkand I have to keep it a secret in a nation that only

produces coffee. The Coffee is real good in PR but it's so strong it can

I think it is very intelligent of us to have fear with anything unknown. That fear could ultimately save our lives as long as panic and paranoia doesn't over come. Considering the good and evil we have on our own planet, a universe of all peaceful nondevious beings is probably unlikely. We don't know what's out there - could be those who for years have wanted to change the conditions of our planet to suit their survival, not ours (we have got to stop polluting it with poison). Could be those out there too who want to protect us from that .....We do not know - they don't come down and communicate with us face to face in public engagements. What we do know is that people are intelligent enough to protect and sustain their own planet - defensively and environmentally.

The UFO's aren't waging war with air weapons, as many years have proven. I believe we should be very mindful that their communcation abilities is not fully known by the majority. For all we know, they could be trying to communicate telepathically with us. Is it possible that people who've never experienced such communication could and have believed God is speaking or guiding them? History does seem to point to this possibility. I seen an interesting show on the history channel that touched base on the concept.

The American Heritage Dictionary does define the word god to mean extraterrestrial, so people had to at some point in time and place use the word and meant extraterrestrial. If that is the case, the beings who spoke to humans 2000 years ago, more than likely wouldn't be the same beings of today (if their life span is comparable to ours). I don't know, but whatever the truth, it seems fascinating, and sometimes scarey the possibilities. The universe is a huge scarey place, we have to expect there to be some fear when thinking and talking about it.

You put it very well, DD2011, and when it comes to the low probability of our universe being filled with "non-devious" beings, you have evolutionary theory on your side. The observed outcome of Natural Selection right here on good'ole Earth seems to have favored (animals&people) Aggression, Opportunism and Deceptiveness.

So if aliens are already among us, it seems understandable we feel a twinge of fear. Wise to be wary, fersure. The next challenge, IF those ETs or extradimensionsionals or whatevers get involved in earthly affairs, to find a faction that is 'nice', worth giving a degree of trust in hopes of gaining an ally. (We'd want them to share some of their gizmos too

... )

Absolutely, orangekea!! Evolutionary theory is another concept that we should be "wise to be wary of"....we don't want to evolve into bald green beings with black eyes to see in the dark from an over abudnance of clouds that blocks out the sun, radiation poisoning, or a fungus filled planet. I agree with you fully in that we should have hopes of finding a faction that is nice, worth giving a degree of trust to, and to consider an ally. People can't really get by not trusting anyone can they? We sometimes need others in our lives that we trust and love, at least to be happy and fullfilled!
