Of course they cannot disclose themselves, we are not ready.
Even 2012 is too early.

There are ppl out there willing to go to war if federal taxes increase by 3%, u think Aliens coming down from the sky will not set them off, not to mention at a time where the Federal Goverment is becoming a curse word the knowledge that they withheld something this substantial would not trigger massive internal disputes...

We cant handle the truth.

Not in the way you mean...no. The word does not apply in this case imo.
The word can have several layers of meaning. I do trust science to make objective evaluations but faith should be reserved dfor religious and other 'beliefs'.
Science does not require our faith since it's based on facts and data.

Faith is a subjective term .....look it up.
It simply does not apply for objective pursuits like science.

Faith is what we have in the things Science has not proved.

Not saying anything about u Dr. but there are ppl out there who believe in a wholly Naturalistic explanation of the origin of the Universe and life in it.

These ppl are sometimes incorrectly called Atheists, but u cannot label someone based on what they do NOT believe in.

But believers in a Naturalistic explanation have no more or less scientific evidence for their belief then someone believing in Intelligent Design.

Which makes both a belief, requiering Faith.

I agree for the most part....but there is evidence for a natural explanation to the universe and we get more each day.
And faith is indeed for those things we have not yet shown to be true..like God and religion....and space aliens.
