Unless they are a 'rogue agency' they are under the control of one of the alphabet agencies. To get funding they have to be part of the military or intel budget unless again they are completely rogue. And if they are under an agency then people at the top in that agency know of them and what they do.

I'm not convinced that the group in charge of ufo investigations know the real origins or truth behind the enigma. They certainly have a lot more data than the rest of us ,but I have never believed they have dead aliens or crashed saucers.
But I definitely think they are still active since the payoff could be enormous if they did discover something about the phenom and it's origins.

They did the serious intel into the subject in the 40s and 50s, Doc, and I think they found nothing of substance. If I were the head of a black ops agency, the last thing I would want to do is sink more money into a slot machine that hasn't paid out a cent in 60 years - no matter how big the jackpot is. There are just to many other things to get involved in that have a much higher likelihood of bearing fruit.

I don't know about that....the tech was very low in the 40's and 50's and I think they could get a lot further into it and learn far more in the 60's -90's assuming there is anything to learn.

Most cultures in the world have had stories about vampirism.
In the 18th century more and more stories of vampires were told and led to mass hysteria. Mass hysteria led to many accusations and prosecutions. But before that... no mass hysteria... but many different and independant cultures have the same tales about vampires. Where did these, in common but independant, stories originate from?

Could people believing they are being abducted by aliens be a result of mass hysteria too? As in the latest adaptation of the paranormal phenomenon we have here on earth, or does it all originate from our collective consciousness which in its turn could explain why independant cultures share the same folklore?

I strongly believe the 'ufo phenomenon' is connected to our current understandings. Therefor I do not support the ETH but rather the EDH.

sigh,why the heck does all of this have to be so hard? Im pretty sure the video cams have been tried with mixed results.One case clearly shows the abductee getting up from his bed and turning the video cam off himself,he later claimed that the abduction had already taken place and that the video was at that time useless. If he really really did believe he had been abducted already that night then you can bet this isnt really taking place anywhere but in the head of the victim.
