Scott's original Alien movie scared the hell out of me when I went to see it in the theater back in 1979. This one seems to have the same close-up horror vibe about it so not sure if I'll rush out and see it or not. Then again, it has Charlize Theron in it...

dunno about the movie itself but it has some magnificient music

It has an ancient alien theme to it so the 'aliens were here in the past' crowd will like it. BTW I read an interview with Scott in the new Rolling Stone and he doesn't necessarily hold to that belief. He also said he's thinking about another Blade Runner film and possibly linking the two worlds of Alien and Blade Runner.

Interesting what you say about the Alien/Aliens movies, Skeptical: I thought Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) the scariest, and increasingly sympathised with the aliens

!

Anyhows this new movie seems exciting indeed, almost guaranteed with Theron's and Scott's involvement, and this is like totally my subject: I'm sure to go see it.

i saw the movie today. all i can say it was ok... i could rate it 7 + / 10.

its a movie for someone who is intrestead in the Alien themed movies. for someone who is going to have a first experience with this series of movies will be very confusing
