Just had a white fiesta boy racer go to pull out in front of me whilst it was my right of way. I braked and swerved to miss him catching my front passenger side tyre against the curb, the side wall of the tyre blew out. Stoped the car & turned around to get his number plate but he'd drove off.....the little ****. Then I spent the best part of half an hour changeing the wheel. Now I need to buy a brand new spare & get my tracking adjusted.....

Any video cameras in that area..? the police might let you bring it up to get his plate no.....good luck with the repairs.
The older I get the less I like driving out on busy open highways. Don't mind the quieter back roads.

No there's no cctv on that particular road which is a shame as he's cost me well over Â£100 worth of damage (which as a family we can ill afford)and with the access on my insurance it's not worth claiming. I might knock a few doors tomorrow along the road to see if anyone can i.d. a young male idiot who owns a white fiesta. The problem then remains if nobody witnessed the event that it would be his word against mine.

Hi Carol, I must admit i am angry about it. I'm just glad my son wasn't in the car, I was on my way to pick him up from play school. Luckily the incidant took place about 400 yards from the play school so I didn't have to far to walk to pick him up. He was giving me instructions through the rear window when I was changeing the wheel and called the other car stupid; when il'd finished he said 'well done dad' lol. He's only four.

A few years back, I had a similar experience. As I was going down a road at low speed past a junior college (where Robert Frost once taught), some idiot kid on a bicycle shot right out in front of me from a driveway -- less than 10 feet from my moving vehicle. I stopped just in time. He just kept going as though nothing had happened.

Relieved that I didn't hurt him or anything, I started up and continued on my way to the shopping center of my destination. On my way, I spotted the kid on his bike and I spoke to him (out the car window) that he needs to be more careful before entering a busy roadway. In return I received his 1 fingered salute. Suddenly I regretted not hitting him with the car.

Kids these days ... (perhaps we should skip a generation?)
