More Downtime?

Hello All,

First of all, sorry for the website been down for the last 24 hours. I had to do all sorts of things to the site. I had to change4 my hosting package, move servers an i'v been trying to install something which will hopefully bring in lots more visitors. (Search Engine Friendly URLs). Paid $150 for it and no luck so far. As soon as i enable it we get lots of dead pages.

I'm sure i'll gt it working soon, but just a warning that you might see the website down for short periods over the next few days. I would normally gove you ample warning on when it's going to be down, but i didn't expect the last 24 hours to be difficult. Thought i would have it back up again in minutes. How wrong i was

Oh well... please continue to enjoy th website.

I find that any task I plan takes 3 times the time I expect; but make that 10 times whenever it involves something on the internet. HE HE HE

Do what you have to do. If I can't get in, I'll just try again later.

Ok, all sorted. We now have Search Engine Friendly urls. What that means is Google for example will now pick up a posts web address as below rather that a set of random letters and numbers after the www.ufoevolution.com part. The Documentries forum address as it used to be: www.ufoevolution.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=30

This is how it looks now:

Forum: www.ufoevolution.com/forums/documentries-other-media/

Post: www.ufoevolution.com/forums/documentries-other-media/9506-flying-saucers-real.html

My Profile: www.ufoevolution.com/forums/members/martin.html

It shouldn't effect any old links either as it converts the url instantly when the person lands on it. Many people claim having these really improve your presence on search engines like Google and gets you higher rankings, which in turn bring in lots more vistors.
