Well, I remember spending my childhood summer holidays in Greece, and as I remember them they're a beautiful people, friendly and hospitable culture, know how to pour a good ouzo, who live just right, especially in the villages and rural areas. Suddenly the rest of Europe comes down on them for not paying taxes, as if non-Greeks haven't enthusiastically evaded tax for CENTURIES. My country The Netherlands was based on the refusal to pay taxes to Spain (whose province we were). Hypocritical nonsense imho.
So I sympathize with the Greek people, the terrible threat to their income/livelyhoods, and the impossible burden placed on them of ever accumulating government savings.
Maybe, if there's any way at all to get out
of the Eurozone without becoming a failed, 100% bankrupt state, they ought to consider it.
