Full cavity searches for everyone. Hard and deep.

No quarrel from me, Carol. I'm always interested in US elections, 2008 no exception, and I liked McCain-Palin the best. I see Obama as the ultimate technocrat, acting with such expediency, I'm unsure whether to be dismayed by his trademark pragmatism distillate, or admire him for it. Am I the only one who sees a ruthless streak in the current US president?

That said, imo getting Mitt Romney instead, seems like replacing a law technocrat with a business same. Isn't he the guy who "likes to fire people"?

Not before he probes them like an alien.

McCain and Palin...are you serious...?
You must have brain damage from all of that legal weed over there.

The problem with all of your presidents (and candidates) living in a country where even vitamin C is illegal is that they smoked plenty YET THEY NEVER INHALED.

Why would a McCain/Palin ticket have been ridiculous? These two at least had clear principles (although about half of America would contend these were the wrong principles!), and McCain would have tried and shield Georgia (a European democracy) from Russia's discrete yet brutal military blitz and take-over, with continued physical occupation of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. And if the old guy inadvertently had keeled over, VP Palin would have stepped in and turned the US into Alaska. Talk about Hope and Change!! Seriously, they would have done just fine...
