Dewimping Professor Obama

In yet another twist in the tales of dirty politics, it appears sum body in Obama's administration has been systematically leaking anti-terrorism/intelligence related (and therefore classified) info to the press.

A very annoyed senator McCain warned of intelligence leaks concerning plans to expand the drone attacks into Yemen and the Horn of Africa.

'Describing the string of recent intelligence leaks to news outlets as "disturbing" and "simply unacceptable," Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., accused the White House of putting the president's ambitions for another term in the Oval Office ahead of national security.

"A really disturbing aspect of this is that one could draw the conclusion from reading these articles that it is an attempt to further the president's political ambitions for the sake of his re-election at the expense of our national security," McCain said on the senate floor late today.'

A very annoyed senator McCain mentioned stories like a US high tech cyber viral attack targeting Iranian nuclear facilities, expanding the drone killings to Yemen the Horn of Africa, and the succesful SEAL-team mission to kill/capture Sheikh Osama Bin Laden.

McCain believes these releases, purportedly by White House employees (who else'd know?) violate security law, and may endanger US national security by exposing to all the world what America's spies are up to. (Not much use to be a spy or intel officer if you're splattered all over the New York Times, is it?)

Worst, according to the senator, it is all for (ohmygod?!) political gain

: with elections mere months away, some elements in the White House administration wish to do away with President Obama's wimpy professor of constitutional law who sits in far too low chairs-image. They hope to promote 'the boss" as a National Security President, actively engaged in kicking terrorist donkey.

The question then is, how harmful to the US is all this really? Were intelligence assets exposed, any future missions compromised? Did Americans, or foreign agents get killed as a result? I wonder if the president has the guts to openly investigate this? In the end it is just politics, lots of folks working for Obama wouldn't mind keeping their nice job and office for another 4 years... (and leak their/anyones' heads off

But then all the conspiracy theorists(..right wing ones at least..) ...and you know who you are...could say it was an intentional move by a rightie inside the military or intel depts who wanted to make it look like it was Obama's fault and score points with the outraged anti Obama crowd hence McLame's outburst.

Honestly, if you have any outrage left to feel after 12 consecutive years of human rights violations, genocide and religion inspired war for profit you might be a teenager.
