E.V.A. IS NOW COMPLETE.

8hrs and 3min - the 6th longest space walk in history.

There was some contamination to the astronauts space suits from the 4 coolent lines that needed to be de-mated from the coolent pump. Three lines de-mated o.k. One line needed work but then de-mated on the second attempt.

Astronaut Doug Will Lock's carbon dioxide indicater went down during the E.V.A. Instead of doing a decontamination 'Bake Off' outside they done it in the airlock. The airlock door was ajar slightly whilst they brought the pressure up to 5 lbs per square inch. This was after a visual check of the suits and a coupleing to I.S.S. Life Support.

The cooling pump should now be ready to be removed on the next E.V.A.

E.V.A. 2 is now complete 7hrs 26 min

The faulty coolent pump module has been removed and stowed on a storage platform.

The replacement cooling pump module has been partialy preped for E.V.A. 3 in several days. All equipment present and 'bake off' occured during E.V.A.

Decontamination was used in the 'Quest' airlock similar to that of saturday's E.V.A. but to a lesser extent.

No, sorry MAC, I've not been keeping up with it (the news), though I've seen a fair few satellites go over this week as the sky's been pretty clear here, so I may have seen it go over once or twice (but prolly not, as it's usually much much brighter than the ones I've seen recently).

Face-Off

Robonaut 2, a dexterous, humanoid astronaut helper, will fly to the International Space Station aboard space shuttle Discovery on the STS-133 mission. Although it will initially only participate in operational tests, upgrades could eventually allow the robot to realize its true purpose -- helping spacewalking astronauts with tasks outside the space station.

It took the shuttle, attached to its external fuel tank, twin solid rocket boosters and mobile launcher platform, about six hours to complete the move atop a crawler-transporter. A Break in Training

At NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the STS-133 crew takes a break from a simulated launch countdown to ham it up on the 195-foot level of Launch Pad 39A. From left are, Pilot Eric Boe, Mission Specialist Michael Barratt, Commander Steve Lindsey, and Mission Specialists Tim Kopra, Nicole Stott, and Alvin Drew. The simulation was part of a week-long Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test.

Discovery and its STS-133 crew will deliver the Permanent Multipurpose Module, packed with supplies and critical spare parts, as well as Robonaut 2, the dexterous humanoid astronaut helper, to the International Space Station.
