Default Many worlds theory paradox

wiki note:
The many-worlds interpretation is an interpretation of quantum mechanics that asserts the objective reality of the universal wavefunction, but denies the actuality of wavefunction collapse. Many-worlds implies that all possible alternative histories and futures are real, each representing an actual "world" (or "universe").

The paradox...

Is there an alternative universe where someone has succesfully proven there is no such thing as an alternative universe?

"Universe" isn't a good word to use when dealing with many-worlds interpretation to begin with... if you know what I mean

Yes. There must be a universe which is not parallel to any other universe.

Nice try, but that doesn't answer the question. You merely turn around the familiar phrase "absence of evidence is not evidence of absence" to "evidence of absence is absence of evidence"

There would also be one where they proved that there's no such thing as their own universe.

If anything that can happen, will happen, then there are also things which can't happen.

Given that anything can happen in the many worlds theory, there must at least one universe not parallel to any other universe. A physicist inhabiting such a universe would discover that there are no parallel universes from his own observations and conclude that there are no parallel universes.

Default Many worlds theory paradox

The existence of an alternative reality/universe proves by definition that the many worlds theory is true so how could anyone in one of the alternate worlds prove it not true?

I'm mostly in agreement with User.

The paradox...

Is there an alternative universe where someone has succesfully proven there is no such thing as an alternative universe?
Is there a "universe' where no one has successfully proven that this isn't all there is? Yes! (this one)

neither is world. may I suggest "realm" be used?

Have you read the Superman comics? One of the villians is Bizarro, an evil version of Supernman from a universe that is opposite to Superman's in every way. That's not something that would be impossible in real life and there just might be a polarity between one universe and another as one of the anything can happen happening things that happen. So, the day one physicist proves the existence of parallel worlds in one universe, his Bizzaro counterpart would prove the nonexistence of parallel universes. It all comes down to perception and what the data the physicists are receiving tells them is a law of their home universes' physics. Reality is the sum of what each universe's objective reality is perceived to be.

A Bizarro version of every universe is one where wave function collapsed in the opposite way every time, which is one of the outcomes of every quantum equation. Polarity of universes is not an impossibility.
