reconsidering galactic alignment

A bad thought occured to me the other day about the upcoming galactic alignment. In a word: tides.

Most people know that the sun and the moon raise tides (water and land) on the earth. Some know that these tides are maximum when sun and moon are aligned exactly opposite each other relative to the earth. But who knows what the tides will be like when the sun and galactic center align with the earth for super maximum tidal forces? This extra pull on the earth's crust may be all it takes to open up the super volcano at yellowstone (which is already in the red zone, eruption wise), and perhaps many others as well.

I honestly know little about the hard science behind any of this.
What are the physicists and astronomers sayng about all of this. Are any of them concerned?

Thus far, I know of no one that has mentioned the effect of tides with this event. It just recently occurred to me. It is the land tide in particular that concerns me, coupled with crustal weakness zones. And then yellowstone comes to mind as a super volcano in search of a trigger. That thing could obliterate the south western USA and spew toxic ash polluted air around the entire planet.

If we're lucky, the added influence of an aligned sun and galactic center will be negligible. (I don't know, astronomy is not my thing, Darrell.)

Actually, 1998 is the midpoint of the uncertainty of the event. The error tolerance is + and - 18 years. 2012 is clearly inside the 36 year error span of the prediction and coincides with the mayan calendar prediction.

Also keep in mind that gravity is a vector. Nearly aligned and aligned mean approximately the same thing. So the problem I discussed develops each time our sun (and moon) align with Earth and galactic center. What that basically means is that we are in the zone of increasing tides and will be for a while. (and per the scientist that monitor yellowstone, that sucker is ready to pop at any moment [of the next thousand years or so] = "red zone.")

If there is going to be any forseeable catastrophe capable of large scale devastation, I highly doubt we will be forewarned or learn about it beforehand. It would create too much pandemonium and chaos...and crime!!
Perhaps this is what all those secret underground facilities are really all about!!!
Nothing would surprise me anymore!!! Might wanna eat, drink and be merry while you still can!!!
