US Government Cover Up

It is my humble opinion that the U.S. Government can not disclose the existence of UFO's for one reason.
The first phrase out of a future administration that discloses the truth: "There is and has been alien craft with technology able to penetrate our air defense."
The second phrase out of their mouth has to be: "There is no threat to our National Security."
Now the only way they can back that up is if they (National Security Branches) actually have reversed engineered or developed a weapon that can be shown to actually 'take on' an alien craft.
Thus reassuring the American and World public that 'we' the U.S., are in no danger.
The third phrase out of an U.S. Government spokeman's mouth would be: "If these alien craft/visitors come in peace we will welcome them but if there intentions are anything but peaceful and harmless we will defend our nation and it's people by taking the appropiate action."
Soo, until the U.S. Government actually feels capable of either defending or managing a first strike ability, there will never be a public admission so as not to frighten us citizens!!
Can't have a government impotent to defend it's citizens from space invaders!

Hi Roger,methinks these men who are charged with defending this country dont sleep to well.I think they stay awake and worry just how to defend us against the possible but awful thought that these craft can turn aggressive at any moment.

Welcome Roger! I agree 100%. I believe the government knows more than what they are telling, but at the same time they know very little, which is why they continue to cover it up. Ever since the Condon report, their position has always been that there is no threat to security. We depend on the government to protect us against any kind of threat...to come forward and say "hey, they are here, we don't know what they want and we don't know what they can do, nor can we do anything about it", would be a huge mistake and would only cause pandamonium. Therefore, they're not going to say diddly until they know for sure what they are dealing with and how to defend ourselves against a future attack. But even then, with our trigger happy nation, we'll shoot first and ask questions later.

I think the single biggest mistake this government or any government could make concering our visitors is to take even a small shot at them,I think what there doing is letting the visitors have at it,that is government installations and or citizens,since we really cant do anything of substance the thing to do is ignore it and hope it will all go away,that never works btw.

I think the Govt. Know absolutely nothing about ET.
Only the military upper echelon have extensive knowledge.
The Govt.Eg President/Prime Minister etc don't have a need to know.
'Elected' Governments deal merely with mundane politics,the military are the real power brokers.
Eisenhower spelled it out.Probably the last honourable man in western politics,imho.

In all honesty,the decent majority of American folk are the ones to force the issue,for their right to bear arms is the biggest bugbear of the US administration,get rid of that,and the American people are finished.
One only has to look at the UK,to see a weak,sheep like people,with no power whatsoever.
