I want you all to keep in mind the terminology of a "UFO" DOES NOT MEAN "alien craft" to the military in this era or any other era of time.
Then what was it, exactly, and assuming anything that old would be declassified by now, why hasn't t been revealed publicly?

Anything unknown to starman is an alien ship.

Just because we've never heard about it, doesn't mean a military "accident" couldn't have occurred. I imagine that there are plenty of things that occurred back in the 50s that you'd think we know about but the records for which have long since been lost or destroyed. It's like the time the Air Force dropped an atomic bomb on Mars Bluff, South Carolina. Of course it didn't go off but it's still enough to send chills up your spine - and probably 99.9% of the populace don't know it occurred.

I doubt it and until rather recently there would still be memories, hence some corroboration. I'm certainly not saying kingman was ET. The most likely scenario is that Arthur just made it up.

I can tie the "manus'incription" into my details at the site here in Az., My best guess is this will be a prototype U-2 and the actual craft and crew of 'one', were "sheep dipped" by the CIA. Details of these with the CIA will probably never be truthfully known. I'm guessing (again) the pilot was in route to Groom, something happened, old Kingman Army Airbase was near and they needed the support. BUT! The CIA would never let it be put down in public view so he was instructed to ditch the craft concealed in the mountains near by.

The above is guess work on my part.. the accuracy is based on my judgement alone. ["manusincription"] is my invention attempting to decode ~ coded military buzz words used by my father instead of the literal interpretation.

If I come up with any fragment of one of these craft I can probably prove my theory.

The U-2 was long ago superseded by the SR-71 etc. I don't see why they can't reveal details of an old accident now, especially since it would conclusively kill a UFO crash story and thereby take some wind out of the ET sails.

IIRC, Good mentioned a suggestion that a crash occurred within Luke AFB instead of near Kingman.
