Has anyone heard what shes talking about.It seems large booming sounds are heard along with flashes of light,no not thuderstorms these are heard and seen even on clear nights,Once when I lived in South Windsor I was walking my shepard up a hill on a horseradish farm,there was such a large boom both he and I hit the ground with a thud,the cows in the next pasture scattered.That night they tried to claim it was a garbage barge off the coast of New York,that was met with a hugh booo from the public but nothing was ever heard again,until now.

Has anyone watched Hangar 18? It was discussed by Howe on Coast. I had not heard of the movie before. It looks like it is on youtube complete.

Carol, those Indiana booms and triangle sightings were weird. And that segment on morphic fields was intriguing. I don't think electric fields are strong enough to do what he says, but there may yet be some unifying fields that could do what he says.

The way these witnesses were discribing what it was they heard and saw,wait a minute how long has it been since any of us have heard a sonic boom,I think I was a kid at the time,anyone else?

Not sure about that, carol. There are restrictions, though.

I have spent all morning watching Hangar 18. Man, classic actors, terrible script. I miss Darrin McGavin and William Schallert. Did you knwo there was a Star Trek connection? The director also did the Ferengi Deep Space 9 episode where Quark lands in 1947 Roswell. I am amazed that in 1980, they were able to put all the stuff together, including alien autopsies, Roswell, Lonnie Zamora, and so forth. All this and only a few years after Stan Friedman broke the Roswell story. They were funded by Schick razors, it seems. crazy stuff

I like Darren McGavin but I dont remember that movie Hanger 18.

I don't think many people do. I didn't. It seems to have been released, labeled a bomb, made a short late night TV run in 1981, and then evaporated. I found infrequent releases on VHS and DVD over the years after Paramount bought out Sunn studios. I found it mentioned a few times in encyclopedic science fiction books (online), and the only fun remembrance was when the director also did the Deep Space 9 episode.

I watched it. Well, the agonizinlgy slow and melodramatic parts I fast forwarded. It was fun to see all the great character actors, and some future comedians got some good stuff to do. Carol, you will like some of it because there are scenes that sort of recreate the Lonnie Zamora incident. But don't watch the whole 100 minutes of it. Darin McGavin is the only one who seems to take his part seriously, but even he chews up the scenery. Someone commented on the youtube video that he wears his Kolchak shoes in the movie.

The key elements are the alien autopsy - really one of the first I think to do this, and the discovery of a hidden Mayan language that tells them that ancient aliens created us from apes, and are coming back now to tell us.

William Schallert plays a great scientist for three minutes. You will know him best as Patty Duke's TV dad. I think he is still with us at 91 years old.
