Actually that was my first thought orangekea - a plastic trash bag. However when it seemed to organize itself into that bird??, I had second thoughts about it. I suppose it could have organized itself that way by chance but somehow it seems less a coincidence to me.

I see what you mean, Ozy (I had a second look in big screen after reading your post). I cannot exclude the possibility of this being some weird UFO-related phenomenon, and if that were so, the transformation from coils to an angel/bird/dragon shape, culminating in a balloon shape, could represent a form of self-organization and shape shifting. Just admitting the possibility!

HOWEVER: the coils, trajectory and apparent speed of the object open up to the explanation of wrapping materials carried by the wind, changing in shape/appearance due to moving further away from the cam as well as being affected by gusts/drafts and its own elasticity. Contracting and moving from sight, pretty normal stuff if you like.

Me, if I have an easy earthly 'out', I tend to take it!
