UFO Videotaped Near Moon

Here is a must see video. A man from Australia has taken what many believe to be remarkable footage of a large, unknown object in space. The video was taken with night vision, and an HD camera, therefore the quality is excellent.
The Melbourne man took the footage at 4:21 AM, on 10-28-10, his time. One thing that is so impressive about this particular video is that at the end of it, you can see the object approach the Moon. It appears that the UFO either lands on the Moon, or passes close to it.

Did you watch the programme on Asteroids last night Mac? It was on BBC2. Was really interesting what the researchers had to say. They are the guys who would have a better idea what that was, I'm sure. Some of the other points of light, had 'trails.' Did you notice that? Looked like comets or meterorites. That particular object though was very bright. Most probably the light bouncing off the moon. Was a good video with the nvision. Hmm, Or was the light artificial???

OK, it is a UFO in as much as the photographer didn't know what it was. Beyond that, this object doesn't exhibit flight characteristics different from any of the other hundreds of pieces of hardware we have in Earth-orbit. I just don't see anything here to get excited about.

That's a unique video. I have spotted satellites that move across the sky at about the same rate of speed in relation to the background stars. But this object seems to slow as it approaches the moon, and even seems to turn slightly. (probably the changing camera zoom and viewing angle.)
I wonder though, why the video ends at this point. Was the viewer not the least bit curious whether the object would come out the opposite side, having passed in front of or behind the moon? Just the same it's a great job of videography and great to see.

I think your perception of changes in speed and direction are merely the effect of using a 2d medium to observe an object moving in an arc through three-dimensional space.

I second that!

And Mac... you know why the video stops at that point... because after that you can probably determine it is a satellite... and the filmer probably knows this also.

Still, a UFO by definition but nothing to write home about... pretty obvious what this is imo.

Hi Rjc, no I'm afraid I missed that - I didn't know it was on. I think the points of light with trails are just the lense, when the same points of light are in the centre of the lense the trails disappear. Interesting point about whether the light was artificial ?

I thought it changed direction very slightly also, but think Skeptical is right.

I must admit I was quite upset at how abruptly the film finished; if I were filming it I would have waited for it to come out from the Moon glare.

At first I thought the object to large for a satalite even though the speed matched, but when you take into consideration atmospheric distortion and the full Moon the object would look larger to any ground based observer.

Nice video though.

Another 20 seconds or so and im certain we would see it again.

Absolutely have to agree with that, I've seen hundreds of satellites in my time, and if I'd have seen that too, I'd have thought it was just one of those.
I think he turned off the video too soon...if he's left it on we would have seen it come out from the moons glow.
As the the chance that it had landed there...well, it's have to have been Super-massive for us to be able to see that...the moon is so huge compared to our craft that you couldn't possibly see anything like the image in that clip actually land on it..unless, as I've just said, it was super massive.
