Ok I said that to be fair to lurkers we need to explain what this book is about,but I find it hard to do so and not interject my own feelings on the subject.At the end of each Chapter Dr.Alexander has a summary,maybe it would be wise to copy that and leave it be.


Summary

This chapter is important as it describes how over several years my explots took me to the senior levels of the military and included briefing the director or deputydirector of the CIA,DIA,NSA plue many other officials in various agencies industries and government science boards. The outcome of such meetings almost always included being introduced to other influential people. Among those I met with were Dr.Edward Teller (who became a personal friend whuioe I was at Los Alamos) Ben Rich (legendary president of the Lockheed Skenk works who developed the SR-71 and the first stealth aircraft) Burt Rutan (areospace engineer extraordianaire,) and Lieutentant General Jim Abrahamson (the director of the five-billion dollar Strategc Defense Initiative (SDI),

What I learned in my personal,face-to-face meetings runs counter to the wild tales that abound in conspircy theory literature. However,unlike those conspracy theory proponents I am the only person who has discussed this sensitive topic with each of those listed,and many many others like them. Worth noting is that even at the most senior leverls,some officals shared the conventional mythology of the general population regarding Ufos,Despite their high-level positions they all seemed to think that someone else was responsible for the topic.

In studying Ufos nothing is simple. The next chapter brings the comundrums that arose when a respected Army officer made audacious claims about crashed UFO material and the role he stated it made in advancing America technology.

That's a good idea.....the chapter summary is a good place to start the discussion.

It's obvious that he was in a place to discover some things and met and knew some people who might have a few answers around this mystery.
IMO that was the point of the first chapter ; to show his position inside.
I will say that it doesn't mean he knew all there was to know or that he's telling us all he knew...but I have no reason to doubt his story anymore than any other person. And for me what makes him credible is that he is not making any wild claims without supporting evidence like so many 'insiders'.

To me anyway Im impressed that he actually said that UFOs are real,their a physical reality.Yahoo! Thats huge.

I agree and to me it's obvious that 'ufos' exist but I remain undecided about their true orign and nature.

Well I say we know nothing about other dimensions and even demons,when you think of it in the Cash/Lundrum case those chinook choppers were chasing a ufo ,not a will of the wisp.I think for now its important that we allow our thinking to go down the ufo path.Those choppers were lying in wait for that ufo.The government does indeed know and has at its disposal much more than were privy to.I wrote to Dr.Alexander telling him that a real book on the subject of ufos has yet to be written.A book that includes conversations with pilots that have been sent up to either capture or chase off ufos,now that would be a humdinger of a story.

Phil Corso's book is significant if only for the number of copies sold and the influence it has had on the UFO field.Even a few senior government officials not associated with UFOs came to believe his story.There is no doubt that he had an illustrious military career which brought him into contact with many people of historical record. However, in The Day After Roswell Corso made many extraordinary claims,especially the use of crashed ufo in the development of American advanced technology.




(You know Dr.Wu when you actually stop and think of it that business of its being the EDH could be another blind alley.One in which most people want to believe in,not that it solves anything if anything it confuses all the more,but imagine that ufos aliens and the like frighten people.What if its something for those that are frightend by the idea that aliens and ufos are actually a nuts and bolts pinchable happening.To many that might be more frightening than the scariest of scary movies.Maybe the closer we get to the disclosing themselves the more we need an alternative thought,one in which we can comfortably fool ourselves into thinking this isnt really happening.)

And that book was already written recently by the woman who's name I just forgot. It was about pilots and others in the military that saw things.

I think Corso's book is full of baloney as far as him giving alien parts to anyone and I agree with Alexander on that. I don't know why he made up this aspect of his book (because he was obviously involved in military intel..) but people do many strange things for various reasons. I also think Alexander is telling the truth when he says he was unable to contact anyone from a secret ufo agency within the govt...doesn't mean one isn't very well hidden.
I also agree with him in that some ufos could be alien craft and the rest probably are not. I also have huge problems with the number of aliens some insiders claim are on earth and that they all look curiously like us.
I can understand the idea that one alien species interacted with us in the past to alter us to become homo sapien sapiens (not convinced of this but I get the idea..) but that does not explain why all aliens seem to be so humanoid.
IMO there is far more going on here than meets the eye.

Im not kidding,the only other thing I can think of is demons,why else would this other something go thru all this bother to convince mankind that they are harmless little fuzz balls of aliens,no harm intended.Why dont they just snatch us and not bring us back,In my mind anyway its to both convince and confuse us.

Yes I bought that book but Im talking about the pilots of those chinook choppers,and the pilots sent up to chase off the Phoenix lights.If they knew that there was no there there would they bother to chase it off,but according to one man thats exactly what they did.
