And they also made the mistake of cruising the Pacific coast only weeks after the Pearl Harbor attack when war jitters were at fever pitch. Stupid aliens.

Just the fact that we were in a war, we basically armed out beaches especially on the west coast after pearl harbor. Just saying that was a lot of fire power being blown off at once

I am sorry if you missed it, but I made an addition to the blogpost about the object that seem to be in motion, which you can see in my second video and I found, that the motion, the "streak", were not one object, but multiple objects in a cluster together. There is actually a whole cluster of spheres in that old footage.

I think this some solid attempts on trying to bring back this old case. I am a believer of this story and I say, Right on man keep doing what your doing.

Perhaps they had never been under direct fire from our biggest guns/artillery and were testing their armor. As a Type 0 civilization there is no possible way we can penetrate the armor of the Type 3 and above civilizations that are capable of interplanetary and/or intergalactic travel and visiting us here on Earth. Although with nuclear weapons we might be able to damage their electronics with electromagnetic pulses. They certainly wouldn't have had anything to worry about in 1942 and aside from it being a test of their armor they might have also done it for the laughs. Harmless Earthlings shooting at them might have been amusing to them and that may be why they stuck around as long as they did.
