It's not merely a matter of trust, it's one of actual objective physical evidence...a true 'smoking gun'. That has not happened ...yet.

It is precisely because there IS truth to it that it has to be kept under wraps, as best they can. Tarnishing the reputation of the whole field is a pretty good way to do it. They could just rely on denial, but inevitably there will be believers, trying to spread belief, so they have to make them look bad.




Inasmuch as the government evidently believes maintanance of the coverup is vital, and may impart this belief to its own, it would be a good mission.



But Corso didn't make a "deathbed"confession, nor others.



Well, I suppose it's fine after all if you, darrell & orange believe Corso. Assuming he acted on the basis of a government plan, based on info we're not privy to....maybe it's for the best after all.

perhaps you should work on your reading abilities. I never said that I believe Corso's claims to be true. I said that I thought him to seem credible during his tv interview. In this thread I have postulated scenarios both pro and con concerning him. I actually consider the evidence too sparse to come to any conclusion about the truth in his story. We will always speculate about what he actually knew versus what he thought he knew.

I would like to find that his story is true, because that then would lend credibility to the Roswell crash as being of a vehicle of unknown origin. As I have stated repeatedly, I find his claim to technological advances trivial compared with his claims of actually handling alien technology and having witnessed dead alien bodies. It is the man's relationship with Roswell that would prove important -- technology be damned. We can do our own technology without any help from aliens.

We don't need Corso for that. Friedman, KDR and others make the case for it without Corso.

To help shoot down the notion that the government has crashed saucers. He dredged up Corso, long known to have a lot of credibility issues, to help make his point. An honest attempt to debunk the idea would just ignore Corso, since few in the field take him seriously anyway.

Dr.Wu the reason I brought up Alexander was because he shouldnt have had to go anywhere near Corso,of course Corso was going to say the book was true,of course he was.IF Alexander was going to get to the bottom of it all as an "Insider" he should have been able to prove or disprove what Corso said without going anywhere near the guy,in other words as an "Insider" he should have had other sources available to him other than Corso himself.

Of course he claims an objective search for the truth, but I don't think he was being ingenuous, not any more than a bunch of others. In this field you should take little if anything at face value.

I dont have that book in front of me but I was smitten with Alexander trying to convince the reader that if anyone in the world would have an inside track to secret ufo groups it would be him.When John Alexander was on Coast I think the listners tore him a new one.All he had to say was there was no cover up and no group assigned to ufo investigation,um the public doesnt believe that.I dont either.
