I have said this before....I am actually a much nicer person as an Atheist than I ever was as a bleeeeever. Not saying I was some kind of criminal or bully or anything, but I was more centered on making sure I got myself into "heaven" someday to really care about others!!! Now I am more relaxed and much more aware and concerned about my fellow man and this big blue planet we inhabit.

There are good and bad in both camps. Morals apply to both sides. Those that choose to abuse and denounce others in the name of god, are hypocrites, imo.

Anything is 'possible'..even the notion that the 'aliens' people encounter are from outer space.
The better word is how probable is it they are supernatural demons?

Absolutely correct, although over the course of solving problems some solutions decrease, while others increase in probability, ideally leading us to a single truth. (One day we might KNOW the visitors are from this or that planet, because they live here openly as guests, or have an embassy. (Or another certain outcome.)

But here I'm trying to determine what OP author, Carol, believes. Not ultimate reality !

I can't speak for Carol but she bounces back and forth between aliens as ET and as demons from month to month.

I don't have a paradigm that includes supernatural demons from Biblical beliefs since I don't accept Biblical religious truths as the one and only correct ontology. Since I'm agnostic I try to keep open to various possibilities for what reality really entails but some paradigms just don't click with me.

Wu,I do flip flop on the subject of ufos and aliens.I dont want to be surprised,I want to consider all possibilites and these entities abducting people and torturing them is demonic as far as Im concerned. I asked George one time (remember him?) about the "aliens" just putting people out while they conducted their experiements,snort.He answered that fear was part of the experiment.My own feeling is we wouldnt force people to stay awake while an implant was crunched up their nose,these so called caring and benevolent entities dont think the same way.

"Probable" is a good word to use here. How probable might it be that everything we have labeled in the past as gods, angels and demons could in fact be ETs here to mess with us? Personally, I find the aspect of physical creatures sharing our space-time realm of the universe far more "probable" than visits by supernatural entities.

However, I don't rule out either. Anyone who has experienced visitations by spirits of the dead or demonic possessions would be reluctant to rule out the possibility of supernatural entities. Thus the question becomes: how can we tell which is which?

Not everything; schizophrenia offers a partial explanation.
