Maybe "they" aren't doing anything to suppress memories......maybe its how our brain works in that kind of situation.
Or...if they ARE doing something to suppress memories, perhaps our brains are not as receptive as they would like them to be and so partial memories do come out.
Maybe that is why they continue to abduct people....they might be working on that!!!

You nailed it...the whole thing about ' ETaliens' supressing memories is bogus imo.

And it's interesting that the 'aliens' have not changed their memory blocking techniques all these years since they are still failing in these known cases.
And what is even more interesting is that we are better at this than the 'aliens' using simple drugs and other techniques. I had Versed to remove some skin cancer and did not recall a thing..have never recalled anything either in dreams or waking. Apparently the space aliens need to stop by their local pharmacy and pick some up.

You seem to be making the assumption that the aliens knock us out prior to "having their way with us." I assume that it is more likely that they simply do something to short term memory to erase painful memories after they are done doing whatever it is that they do to us. In the Hills case, that seems to have been the case.

Makes no difference since the 'abductees' claim to not only recall early events but later events (both in dreams and under hypnosis and some recall on their own over time) while in alleged captivity by the 'aliens' so whatever the 'aliens are doing it's not working well at all.
As I pointed out they need to borrow some drugs from us.

Methinks these little guys know full well what there doing.Maybe they leave just enough memory to confuse frighten and befuddle mankind. They could if thats what they wanted,to completely erase any memories of the event,but that would be defeating the purpose and the purpose may be to convince us that were being visited by beings from another planet,and it almost worked.

Well, it does enable the abductees to go on more or less as before, instead of suffering a complete breakdown, in many cases, which might force the authorities to take this more seriously, if many people were involved. Btw the unreliability of memory suppression is a problem for any hypothesis not just the ETH. Regardless of what the phenomenon represents, it is obviously something very capable. It may be that the aliens are unconcerned if many abductees divulge their tales since it hasn't made much difference anyway. Stopping abductions doesn't seem to be part of the platforms of the major parties.
