Ditto - give me a break and apply that to your statement below. It's the opinion of singled out idiotic men that think "many" won't be able to handle it. The fact remains, they handled it, so will others when they learn.

I think depending on whats revealed by our government that we can and will handle the truth just as weve always handled the truth. Whats said is of the utmost importance,it may be why there is no "truth" coming out,they dont know what the truth is.Wouldnt know if it jumped up and bit em in the bass.

I model it a little diffently, Carol (and repeating myself some in the process ). I think the US gov was succesful in uncovering parts of the truth of Alien Visitors, imo facts about their physiology from dead crew (crash recoveries), their transports and tech, and information regarding general reality, ourselves and our planet through direct contacts.

And they ended up with some PROBABILITIES (not full understanding or 'Truth'!) which are fundamentally incompatible with maintaining a sound and stable human society.

For instance, if we (Mankind) buy into the alien version of truth, we may lose religions (all false), science (all outdated) and ethics (too soft for a vast, densely populated and voracious Universe). And one of the things Aliens are selling (as in Whitley Strieber's case) is knowledge about the end of the world, which publication would for starters end our economies and functional societies (It's every man for himself, heading for the hills!!).

So my take is secrecy is rational. Humans as a whole could not handle alien info.
