I'm curious to know why there hasn't been a proper investigation -- the cows don't look neglected. Dealing with people's incompetency is sometimes very difficult. I hope they get to the bottom of it.

I'm prepared to give Werner Bock the benefit of the doubt here, DD! First what abuser/neglecter of cattle is putting out youtube vids of his beasts' difficulties? He was reaching out for help, in contact with veterinarians and police for some time now.

Of course there's immense vulnerability in an 'alien defense': if there's no such thing as Alien Visitors, nor a cattle mutilation phenomenon, he has to be nuts. (Logically, if both are reported, and part of the historical record whatever their ultimate nature, his defense must be seriously considered!)

Finally I"m worried he's being prevented from a vigorous defense if the judge precludes testimony based on a prevailing worldview (no such thing as alien Visitors), while Bock needs to introduce it to show the very opposite.

I agree orange that there should at least be a proper investigation and medical investigation as well. If the calf is having lung problems, look at the things he could be breathing -- pestisides that may be used or molds and funguses that may on the bedding or feed. What did the other cows die from (I haven't looked at the other videos, but maybe there are clues).

You are very right in that he probably shouldn't go with the alien death ray idea, but I think it just shows that he or his vet more than likely doesn't have all the facts on what is causing the illnesses (thus making it alien). In dealing with my own doctors, I know it's sometimes very discouraging waiting for diagnosises that never come (and they tend to think mental when nothing obvious shows up in ordinary tests), and he's probably dealing with much of the same with his vets (the costs stack up, so who wants to pay for something that really brings nothing more than them still not knowing). Even with people with high medical or vet degrees, incompetency still thrives.

I genuinely feel for the guy because from what little I've seen, looks like he's getting the short end of the stick (I could be very wrong, depending on what facts a proper investigation could bring, but seems a proper investigation at least is needed).

Well I dont feel for this guy at all,that picture of the first calf looks as if that calf is indeed malnourished,its backbone is showing and its young enough whereby its feeding off of the mother cow,if the mother cow isnt being fed then the calf is going to look just as this one does,malnourished.Who has heard of any rancher in the entire world losing 250 animals to aliens,I sure havent and cattle mutes are of great interest to me.

Maybe, just maybe, the old man is not playing with a full deck. Alien malnourishing death rays have no precedence. He'll probably be found guilty because what he is claiming has never happened in another case. Serves him right for jumping to the aliens conclusion Tsoukalos style and posting those vids on YouTube.

The calf in no way looks malnourished to me -- it doesn't look overly skinny at all. I grew up with the cows and calves -- they don't have much meat on them at that age even when fully nourished. The other cows in the back ground don't look malnourished either (of course I'm not a qualified vetrinarian either).
