Strange tale: Ojibwa tale of a 'Skyman' visitor may have been alien

According to the story recorded in 1917 by ethnologist Colonel G.E. Laidlaw, 500 years ago there was a large Ojibwa village about 550 native people living somewhere in our region. One day, a pair of them stumbled upon a stranger sitting on the grass in a field. This figure, a male, was notably “clean and shining bright.”

The natives approached the stranger and asked who he was and how he came to be in the field. “I am not one of you. I do not belong to this land. I dropped down from above,” the stranger explained.
Showing unusual hospitality, the Ojibwa invited him back to their village. The stranger agreed, but on one condition: “Go home and clean the place where I will stay, and when you come back for me, I will go with you for a few days.”

Agreeing, the Ojibwa men went back to their community, told their fellow villagers about their experience, and cleaned the hut where they would house the ‘Skyman.’

The stranger did in fact accompany them to their village, but he was clearly restless. He watched the skies often and told people that in two days something would come and get him to take him back up to the sky.

One afternoon, Skyman looked up and said, “It is coming.” The villagers craned their necks and turned their eyes above and saw something that looked like a bright shining star streak down from the heavens and hover near the ground.

This was the most beautiful thing any of them had ever seen. Skyman entered the shining star and disappeared from view. The shining star then shot back into the sky and faded away.

Wow!!! I know Orangeville very well. My folks had a summer place near there and we went to Orangeville often when I was younger. Was never aware of any activity (at least that I know of) around those parts tho.

Can you tell some other stories about Orangeville? I'd like to hear them.

Several Native American tribes have stories about 'beings from the sky' and or weird tales similar to ufo encounters.
Interesting that the 'skyman' looked human and was able to breathe our air ,etc. Also that he just happened to be sitting there, went home with the Indians, and then a few days later his fellow 'aliens' simply came to pick him up? Was he lost on an alien outing? Were they playing mind games with the Indians? Was it a ruse so he could live with humans for a few days?
Another tale again that for me doesn't support the ETH as much as it does some other aspect about humans within the realm of the paranormal.

So, that story is hard to believe? Probably would never be popular enough for a ... movie.

Default Ojibwa Alien?

Orangeville was a small rural town of several hundred people during the 1960's. The town served the farms in the area and cottagers in the summer, skiers in the winter. It is situated only a few kilometers from the scenic Hockley Hills and the Forks of the Credit River area. The population of Orangeville and the town itself steadily grew during the 1970's to present day where its population now is around 30,000. It is now a "bedroom" community with most of its inhabitant commuting to work in the Greater Toronto area. Being a Toronto city boy, my memories of O'ville are of a typical rural town slow paced and friendly much like most of the small town you might find in the US. When we went into town from the cottage it was always a big event for me and my brother, as we stayed at the cottage with my mom for pretty much all of the summer back in those days. I was quite the "hickory" when I went back to Toronto each September. The area in general is mostly farms, cleared land. In the 1900's I would imagine it was considerably more sparsely populated and yeah there would have been greater population of aboriginal (First Nations) or "Indians" around the area back then at that time.

Advanced aliens just know these things.

I think all of the high strangeness cases are hard to believe at times ,but if the witness is sincere , as far as we can tell, do we just dismiss it out of hand? Do we then only accept the so-called nuts and bolts cases because they fit our bias of what a real alien-ufo ship story would be like?
For me this has always been the more interesting part of the ufo enigma, ie, the high strangeness cases and what they might tell us about the phenomenon and ourselves.
